Singapore Chronicles Day 3 – Part 1

The walk continues

Alright, the curtain unfolds on day 3 of my trip. In a flash half the trip is gone already, the first half of the day was pretty much spent at Lucky Plaza hunting for my bazooka. After which I headed to Esplanade, but thanks to the taxi driver I was stranded along along the upperbanks of Singapore river, a lil ways from Esplanade.

Well that would mean walking, and a lot of walking was involved today. Walking through the park, Singapore Bridge and finally reaching Esplanade. Initial plan was to go on the Duck Tours which was at Suntec City, which again is a lil ways away from Esplanade. Again more walking, Nevermind, still full of energy, so off I went. Sadly though, when I arrived at Suntec, it was already too late, and besides, the ticket was rather pricey.

Oh well, it was dinner time already, so it’s chow time. Went to Food Republic for some Salmon Rice, you’d never find this in Malaysian food courts, and for the price of SGD6.90 (hey it’s cheap if you’re earning SGD!) While waiting for my food, I decided to try out the free wifi service. It was quite useful, at least I got to check some mails and chat with a friend that evening.

After dinner I went to the famous Fountain of Wealth, guess things turned out not too bad, missed the Duck Tours but was in time for the fountain light show, which I will continue in the next post after uploading the photos. Adieu for now!
